Welcome to Adventure Cascades- We are live!

We're new to this whole blogging thing, but we thought we'd update you all about what Adventure Cascades been up to this summer!

We have had many amazing trips down the Sauk river, hitting waves, getting the adrenaline pumping and making lots of new friends.  The river is fun and splashy class III-IV whitewater for most of the 9 mile trip, and we always stop on a nice sandy beach to eat lunch.  The milky color of the water makes an amazingly scenic contrast with the deep green of the trees along the banks, and most days we can catch views of snow covered peaks all the way down the river.  Check out this video to get a taste of what you're in store for when you decide to join us on the mighty Sauk!

When the Sauk started to get low as the summer went on, we turned our attention to a river that is truly a gem.  The Suiattle is a major tribuituary of the Sauk, and drains peaks in the Glacier Peak Wilderness.  When the weather is warm, the Suiattle is flowing.  This river is amazing and has everything we were hoping for.  If you're looking for solitude, this river is for you.  You almost never see anyone else floating this stretch.  Miles of wave trains keep you smiling for days, and the stunning views of the peaks up stream and down will truly take your breath away.  The Suiattle starts to mellow out as it gets closer to the confluence with the Sauk, and we take out just below the mouth, which makes us lucky enough to say that we floated two Wild and Scenic rivers in one trip!   Endless sandy beaches make this a great overnight trip, and we're looking forward to sharing this amazing place.

To round out our "trifecta" of awesome rivers, we float the ever consistent, ever beautiful, Skagit. The Skagit is a huge river, and the geological landscape as well as the cultural history of the area are all shaped by its incredible character.  It flows all year, and its emerald green waters and views of nearby mountains make this a super picturesque trip.  We're gearing up for our Skagit season, taking folks downstream to watch bald eagles soar, drink fine local wine, relax, and generally enjoy one of the most iconic rivers in Washington.

Thanks for checking in y'all, and hope to see you on the river soon!
